Jake Russell

Salut from the Okanagan

Jake grew up in Ontario, playing the violin, attending French School and enjoying auto mechanics in high school. After graduating from High School, his family decided to move out West for new opportunities and lifestyle that only the Okanagan could offer. The Okanagan delivers an exciting whirlwind of seasonal recreation, un-parallel in Canada.

Who would want to leave?

Now out West, Jake made the move to Vancouver to finish a Bachelor of Arts degree at UBC, before returning to the Okanagan for working summers up at Predator Ridge Golf Course.

Travel to explore new cultures, customer relation skills and education has always been a constant in Jake’s life; To that end, he worked in France and Italy for multiple seasons as a bike mechanic and guide for Butterfield and Robinson, a European Bike Tour Company.

Working at Silver Star Mountain Resort in Tourism and Restaurant management, and Kelowna Bike Tourism, has only strengthened his belief that the Okanagan, has a great lifestyle to offer the young at heart.

He has made many friends in other countries, but still the Okanagan is Home.

Real estate involvement has always been in the family, Jake’s Mom, Uncle, Aunt and Great Grandfather were all, and continue to be involved in Real Estate sales. Art and home design have been influential to Jake’s Real Estate career. Jake has worked with his brother, who custom designs and installs kitchens and closets, along with a family tree of Artists who specialize in historical buildings abound.

Jake’s choice of Real Estate as a career is a natural progression, and combines all his interests and talents. He works in partnership with his Realtor® Mom, Linda Jenkins at Sutton Group Lakefront Realty in Vernon, a well established company with an impressive knowledge of the business.

Linda Jenkins

Linda or Linny, believes salespersons are born, not made.  Selling is natural to some folks and not to others.  I fall into the “born to sell category.”

I like the whole process of presenting an option, providing info and expanding knowledge bases on any sort of product or argument.

Consumer satisfaction is my ultimate goal; The transformation process of turning raw material into finished product to build relationships and opportunities is important.

An agent for change.
An agent representing the interests of another.
This is my modus operandi.

In tangible terms, my life experience is about developing and dealing with the real estate of others, being a catalyst for change, PRESENTING NEW IDEAS IN A NEW AND TRUE WAY.

I LIKE SHOPPING AROUND TO GET THE BEST DEAL OUT THERE.

I’ve gone to school to become an advertiser, a film maker, a craftsperson, Realtor, a Psychologist, and Nurse.  All of which has helped me learn more about human nature.  I am a student of human nature, with goals to contribute to making life more satisfying for those with whom I have dealings with.

I work in partnership with my son Jake Russell.  We provide a 3rd generation perspective on real estate as a sound investment.  We both love the Okanagan lifestyle and strongly believe in helping to build self-sustaining communities in the Okanagan.  I am on the executive of the Food Action Society of the North Okanagan, which has a mandate to help improve local food security.  I am also on the Heritage Committee for the City of Vernon.

Jake is active in local service clubs like the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters, numerous seminars, and event planning.  We believe in supporting Community initiatives- all part of good planning for the future of families living in the Okanagan

We look forward in being apart of our clients present and future plans, hopes and dreams.
